Nami Hall is a QPOC of Japanese and Scandinavian lineage. Nami is deeply attuned to the subtleties of culture, belonging, and communication; spoken and unspoken. A multidisciplinary artist, director, choreographer, and creative consultant with over 20 years of global experience spanning aerial dance, narrative theatre, somatic practice, spectacle performance, and embodied direction.

As a creative consultant, Nami works at the intersection of vision, identity, and embodiment. Drawing from decades of directing, teaching, studio leadership, and global collaboration, she supports artists, leaders, and organizations in clarifying their voice, reconnecting to their creative truth, and translating intuition into coherent, lived expression. Her somatic-based approach helps clients move through burnout, transition, and creative stagnation, uncovering what is often hidden and bringing it into view with integrity and care.

She has lived in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Tokyo, Australia, Portland, Berlin, and beyond, creating and performing work for the 2012 London Summer Olympics, 2014 Russian Winter Olympics, World Expos, Commonwealth Games, Dollywood, and the International Ballet Theatre, amongst others. A graduate of the National Institute of Circus Arts with specializations in Swinging Trapeze and Hand Balancing, Nami’s work is defined by curiosity, disciplined absurdity, timelessness, and a continual reimagining of what a creative practice can be.

Rooted in care for marginalized communities, her work is devoted to building equity, visibility, and possibility, with a particular commitment to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ collaborators. She partners with those who move through the world with complexity, courage, and imagination, helping them remember who they are and unlock their creative magic naturally.
